Why just this period of the history of Vietnam?

German mystic and poet of the 1600s, follower of en:Jakob Böhme, author of a utopian teaching seeking to unite all Abrahamic religions and restore Eden on Earth. Kuhlmann travelled to Constantinople, where he (unsuccessfully) attempted to convert the Turkish sultan, and to Moscow, where he was burned at stake after an accusation of heresy made by a Lutheran pastor of the local German community. Long story short, a truly remarkable personality. Until recently, the article existed only in German; the Russian version was created by yours truly.

One of the most frequently used aphorisms in the discussion of the distinction between dialect and language. The aphorism is often attributed to the Yiddish linguist Max Weinreich, who did not coin it, and points out the influence that political conditions can have over a community's perception of the status of its language or dialect.

  7. --RekishiEJ 03:28, 11 July 2008 (UTC) This incident is crucial in the histoy of Taiwan. Although Theodoranian opposes this to be selected as Translation of the week, claiming the article is not fully-covered with all facts and viewpoints, it is publicly regarded as the uprising caused by the worsening social situation (such as hyperinflation, lower governmental efficiency and increased political corruption, which do not occur during the Japanese rule). Though some people think the government's action to murder many intellectuals were necessary, some people regard the incident to be a revolution (whether in the Taiwanese nationnalism view or Marxist view), they are not mainstream and can be neglected in the article (Jimmy Wales claims that if non-mainstream voices are not presented in the article, it DOES NOT VIOLATE WP:NPOV). Also, the Chinese edition is a GA (though tagged refimprove), so it is worth translation.[reply]
