This article does not have any references, and presents a series of contrived examples without any indication that such situations are likely with typical numbers of voters. I believe that most of these contrived examples do not hold with larger numbers of voters. This was originally created as a POV-fork of Instant-runoff voting which cites references contradicting it, denying the susceptibility of IRV to tactical voting. ←BenB4 05:56, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
