Vous trouverez ici un bref aperçu des pages sources sur Méta-wiki liée au Cycle 2. Ce aperçu concerne la période du 21 au 28 mai. Les raccourcis utilisés renvoient vers la langue ou le projet d'origine. Les projets et langues sont rangés en ordre alphabétique selon leur code. Par exemple, la Wikipédia en langue arabe est Ar.WP. Cette page contient la seconde synthèse des pages source depuis le début du cycle 2 des discussions. La première synthèse est accessible sur Stratégie/Mouvement Wikimédia/2017/Cycle 2/Sources/Synthèse du 11 au 21 mai. Afin de donner un aperçu des synthèses de discussion à travers les projets et plateformes, ce texte précise combien d'avis source il y avait au moment de la rédaction. Par exemple (3a à 4a) signifie que 3 avis étaient listés sur la page de synthèse au moment de la rédaction de ce texte et la synthèse s'est faite en compte à partir de la proposition 3.

Des connaissance saines et inclusive - A

  • Dans les discussions de la Wikipédia en anglais (64a à 85a) les participants ont insisté sur le fait qu’adopter le thème A nous permettra de soutenir plusieurs projets avec efficacité et de manière rapide (§EN84). Un contributeur a exprimé le fait que nous pourrions avoir des communauté saines si nous mettons en place wikis multilingues et que nous arrêtions de séparer les wikis par langue. (§EN85) Un contributeur a proposé que des études soit menées afin de déterminer si le fait de permettre aux contributeurs d’éditer avec ou sans adresse IP avait une incidence négative sur la communauté. Il a aussi proposé l’usage des données afin de rendre ce thème plus efficace. (§EN69) Il y a également eu des réactions portant sur ce thème en général, parlant de son aspect vague. Il serait mieux d’éviter les expressions floues (§EN65), la diversité démographique comme façon de favoriser la diversité est inutile (§EN66). Il faudrait encourager l’usage de vrais noms plutôt que de pseudonymes.(§EN67)
  • On the French Wikipedia discussion (5s to 39s) One user said that if we follow theme A, we'll be just another social network (§FR5) though s(he) also commented that any threat to the community could jeopardize its projects (§FR6) and suggested to humanization our projects by reducing automation and machine impact. (§FR7) Participants also suggested that MediaWiki strings should be managed directly by a WMF project instead of a third-party tool. (§FR10)
  • Sur la Wikipédia italienne (36a à 64a), les participants qui se sont prononcé sur le thème A estiment qu’il faut recherche activement de nouveaux contributeurs à l’aide de campagnes ciblées et pas de manière aveugle (§IT62), et bannir ceux qui viennent faire la promotions de leurs idées. (§IT43) Nous devrions accorder une attention particulière à nos lecteurs (§IT50), toutefois l’un des participants estime que ce thème n’est pas important. (§IT48)
  • Sur Méta-wiki (58a à 67a), les participants pensent que ce thème est important, (§Meta62) (§Meta63) et si nous adoptons ce thèmes, nous pourrions apprendre et enseigner énormément sur la façon de mener des discussions structurées, polies, fondées sur des faits, menées en ligne à une échelle planétaire.   • Sur Wikipédia en polonais (15a) l’un des contributeurs a proposé d’améliorer notre attitude à l’égard des nouveaux en organisant des rencontres physiques et des formations.(§PL15)
  • On the Vietnamese Wikipedia (12s) participants think that theme A is important (§VI2) and by following this theme we can make the world come closer in the pursuit of free sharing knowledge. (§VI1)
  • Sur la discussion Wikidata (34a to 43a) un contributeur a proposé qu’il faudrait adopter un attitude chaleureuse afin de créer des communautés saines car des objectifs sans une communautés est une rhétorique vouée à l’échec.(§DATA34)

L'âge augmentée - B

  • Sur la Wikipédia en anglais (64a à 85a) les contributeurs ont signifié que compte tenu de l’évolution de l’informatique et de l’intelligence artificielle, un plan pour les 15 prochaines années est impossible, (§EN71) nous devrions aider et accorder une attention particulière au projets d’IA tels que ORES (§EN73). Il ont aussi suggéré d’améliorer le design du site. (§EN74)
  • On the French Wikipedia discussion (5s to 39s) users said that if developed in accordance with transparency this theme can allow Wikimedia projects and wikimedians to evolve while remaining relevant; (§FR11) tools and models of improvement of our wikis can be reusable by other users of internet; (§FR12) this theme can be transversal to others; (§FR14) this theme also ensure that the "augmented" aspect does provoke an enormous consumption of electricity. (§FR17)
  • On the Italian Wikipedia (36s to 64s), Users are not against innovation (§IT52) and the community appreciates innovations if allows improvement of content. (§IT51) Projects like Wikisource could make use of some sort of "time capsule" to host in some hidden way content which is now copyrighted. (§IT64)
  • On Meta wiki (58s to 67s), participants think that we should augment our front-end, cross-projects interaction, and knowledge with skills including communication tools (§Meta65) and should not reduce effort in human communication.(§Meta66)
  • On the Wikidata discussion (34s to 43s) users commented that if we follow theme B, we will be leaders in the development of those technologies that will define this new age, (§DATA35) will be a counterfoil to those who actively spread disinformation, propaganda and fake news (§DATA36) and our encyclopedic base has to be radically extended to non-English wikis. (§DATA39) One participant thinks that this theme can work if Wikidata breaks the language issues. (§DATA41)

A truly global movement - C

  • On the French Wikipedia discussion (5s to 39s) participants discussed if we follow theme C, we will be much better implanted in the third world (§FR21) and we need to teach NGOs how to access, use our resources. (§FR22) We can also broaden the dissemination of knowledge to low awareness regions. (§FR32)
  • On the Hebrew Wikipedia village pump (14s) participants emphasis that we should think about how we can extend and expand Wikipedia to include the diversity of opinions and information, and to preserve local culture in every language. (§HE5)
  • On the Italian Wikipedia (36s to 64s), participants suggested we should enable article feedback form (§IT55) and need good statistics about readers. (§IT61)
  • On the Spanish Wikipedia (18s to 30s) participants commented that to be truly global, we must combat localism (§ES27) and if we follow this theme the impact would be the gaps reduction of knowledge. (§ES28) On the Spanish -speaking community - Telegram group (8s to 24s) users commented that We must have, as a movement, a minority languages preservation role, and we should appoint language ambassadors to achieve representativeness at the organizational level. (§ES13)

The most trusted source of knowledge - D

  • On the English Wikipedia discussion (64s to 85s) participants suggested that stricter controls are now urgently needed to maintain the quality and standards of our contents (§EN76) and we should also implement optional identity verification for users to ensure account's responsibility. (§EN78)
  • On the French Wikipedia discussion (5s to 39s) participants said that this theme is complementary to others. (§FR27) We should emphasis on projects other than Wikipedia, (§FR24) put a strong emphasis on credibility of our information. (§FR25)
  • On the Hebrew Wikipedia village pump (14s) participants suggested that Wikipedia must preserve knowledge and make sure knowledge is reliable (§HE6) and there is a need for a friendly and automatic mechanism for standardized citations of articles in scientific databases. (§HE10)
  • On the Italian Wikipedia (36s to 64s), users suggested that We need to cooperate with research and education institutions to verify content and we should cooperate with schools (§IT39) and universities to develop critical thinking in readers.(§IT41)
  • On the Spanish Wikipedia (18s to 30s) participants think that it is fundamental for Wikipedia being the most respected source of knowledge (§ES23) and it is necessary to exercise greater control over contents to improve reliability & credibility. (§ES22)
  • On the Vietnamese Wikipedia (12s) one user thinks this theme is the second most important, only after community health. (§VI6)

Engaging in the knowledge ecosystem - E

  • On the French Wikipedia discussion (5s to 39s) participants think we should involve experts to improve the verifiability of content, (§FR34) stop confronting human against machines (§FR37) and if we want to include Wikimedia in the broader knowledge ecosystem we should provide reliable information and bring institutional actors to demonstrate legitimization. (§FR39)
  • On the Italian Wikipedia (36s to 64s), one user commented that Theme E is more important theme A. (§IT46) Wikipedia projects have a role in education. (§IT47)
  • On the Spanish Wikipedia (18s to 30s) discussion participants agreed that this theme will have a big impact (§ES18) and the issue has enormous importance. (§ES19)
