The C Programming Language (K&R (from the author's initials) or "the white book" -- 1978 or 1981(?) -- ISBN 0131103628) is a computer science book, written by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie. The book, which has been influential in the application and development of the C programming language, discusses the usage of C by AT&T; the "dialect" of C used here is sometimes referred to as K&R C. From 1988, a second edition is available which covers ANSI C.
