Trama
Cinque persone trascorrono la notte in una casa abbandonata, la casa infestata di Amityville, e presto si trovano ad essere terrorizzati da fantasmi, insetti velenosi ed apparizioni.
Marvin e Debbie comprano la casa. La rinnovano con l'aiuto di tre amici : Frank Bill e Abigail. La vecchia custode della casa viene assassinata e scoprono che un prete è stato ammazzato in quella casa dodici anni prima

È il quinto film della serie di film horror. Venne girato nel 1989 e fu rilasciato direttamente in ideocassetta nel maggio 1990.[1]
Il film è basato sul libro di Hans Holzer, The Amityville Murder.[2]
Even though the setting of the film is supposed to be in the infamous Amityville house, it is not actually 112 Ocean Avenue, the setting for the previous Amityville films. The house used here is a different house dubbed as "the Amityville house".
The reference to the houses' history as a rectory is a possible reference to the Borley Rectory, a haunted house in Inghilterra that drew comparisons with the Amityville hauntings due to similarities in paranormal activity at both locations.
As of 2007, questo è l'unico film nella serie che non è stato rilasciato in DVD negli Stati Uniti.
