François Pérusse is a french quebecer humorist and singer famous for his radiophonic sketches in which he makes a lot of word games and ridiculous humor (his more known sketches are from his own series "Les 2 minutes du peuple").

Biography

He was born on October 8, 1960, at Québec as the second out of two children. His parents were Charlotte and Adélard Pérusse. His brother is named Marc Pérusse.

His fate is soon decided. At 12, he makes his debut on the comunnautary radio of his natal region, after what he plays as a bassist in a lot of bands with his brother at 17.

"Les 2 minutes du peuple" starts in august 1990, on a national radio, CKOI FM. It was diffused on the morning, within the "Y'é trop d'bonne heure" program: sketches and songs makes unanimity within the quebecers. After a little more than one year, a compilation of his best sketches and songs is released on the market: "l'Album du peuple - Tome 1". This album will be sold at more than 80,000 copies.

This gave him strength to accomplish five more "Albums du peuple" in the main series in the future. He though he was finished at the fourth album called "l'Album du peuple final - Tome 4", he was forced to pursue his work following the fans wishes.

"Les 2 minutes du peuple" make their debut in France in automn 1995 on Europe 2. For the France sketches, François Pérusse takes a french accent which is not the same in Quebec; that doesn't stop him from working in his native country: all France albums are also released in Quebec and Pérusse extends his coarsed humor on screen, with "Le JourNul de François Pérusse" (alternative news journal created on the February 8, 1999) and animated versions of his sketches ("Le Spécial du peuple" and "la Série du peuple"), all being broadcasted on the TVA network.

François Pérusse is broadcasted in Belgic since 1998 and in Suisse in debut-2002. All mornings, Montréal can now hear him on the radio station called "Radio Énergie" (Not to be confused with NRJ) 94,3 FM during the "C't'encore drôle" program and on "Couleur 3" in Suisse romande.

In the course of his career, he was famous for a lot of things. In addition to his vocal performances and humoristic sketches, he was also rewarded many times: a lot of "prix Félix", a lot of "prix Gémeaux" and he also sold a lot of albums.

"Les 2 minutes du peuple" are also diffused each day on the "Rire et Chansons" station.
