Simple Logo
Hi,
creating a transparent logo from a non-transparent one is a lot harder than just using the existing transparent one as a template. I would ask you to keep in place the Simple Logo I created, in order to maintain the distinction between the projects, until a better replacement can be found.-Eloquence* 19:21, Feb 13, 2005 (UTC)
null edits
Hi,
I recently modified {{compu-lang-stub}} to put the articles in Category:Programming languages instead of Category:Computer science. Rumour has it that you have a bot to perform a null edit on those articles to put them in the correct category.
Cheers, --R.Koot 21:22, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
- Can I modify the template right now, or should I wait until after you have ran the bot? --R.Koot 21:38, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
The Wolverine matter
On the RFC against Nightscream section on Talk:Wolverine (comics) , ScifiterX's newest attack is the accusation against me that I'm lying about not having been aware all the different sections on that page where different exchanges/threads are being held, which of course, he provides no evidence of. Considering that I'm still learning how to use WP would not allow him to attack me, so he assumes the worst. I appreciate your presence there, and ask if there is a way an administrator or arbitrator can be brought in to adjudicate not only the content dispute, but ScifiterX and SoM's vioilations of WP's civility rule, which I read on somewhere on a page. Nightscream 7.21.05. 1:08am EST
Hello. I got on the Wiki page looking to cooperate with Nightscream to work with his version of the powers and abilities edit and immediately I am inundated by an excedingly long and vigorous post accusing me of various evil deeds. You told me not to focus on events of the past and I agreed not to. You told me not to say anything hostile to Nightscream. I agreed not to. But this has to go both ways. Nightscream needs to bury the axe and leg bigons be bigons as you told me to. I had a feeling today when I got on that page and attempted to look at the rest of his edit in order work with him I would be attacked in some way, but not to this extent. This behavior is highly innapropriate and counter productive and I would appreciate it if you would endorse your personal policies in a less unilateral manner. Thank you. Now, I see that the block of text I am referring to is actually dated two days old. However, I have no memory of it ever bieng there before today. It is possible that my memory failed or that there was a glitch and that the statement wasn't shown on my browser for some strange reason until today (this has been known to happen). If it is my error, I apologize to both you and Nightscream. ScifiterX 03:01, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
Template
Hey, I quite like the new template, I only have one question ... is there any way to make the "region" part wider so that it doesn't take up two lines? [[User:PZFUN|User:PZFUN/signature]] 05:27, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Forgot the 'oholic part
The mind can go blank when facing a horde of pointy things (those pictures) even when they aren't very sharp. I didn't think to come look for you on English, even though I knew you were over here. D'oh! Thanks Shenme 06:29, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Wi template
The search solution sounds good to me... I'll go ahead and implement it. Thanks. Pcb21| Pete 14:58, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Rn71989
I've blocked Rn71989 for 24 hours to give time to sort this out and consider a permablock; can you give me some idea of how he did whatever the heck it was he did, so I can try to clean it up? -- Essjay · Talk 22:08, July 21, 2005 (UTC)
- Just to say thank you for the heads-up on this. Apprehension would have been far slower without you! Cheers, smoddy 22:16, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Okay, Smoddy tells me it's been cleaned up; I'd still like to know what he did! -- Essjay · Talk 22:21, July 21, 2005 (UTC)
- It hasn't. Somehow we've duplicated the content of Penis and completely lost the content of Thunder. If you find it, drop me a line... Cheers, smoddy 22:26, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- Someone found it. Sorry, and thanks again. smoddy 22:27, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Heya...
... I'm trying to figure out how to get the background colour to stick. See Template:Infobox OS. It's not working! Any ideas? - Ta bu shi da yu 03:17, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- OK, understood. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:18, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, how do you use the .infobox.computer class? - Ta bu shi da yu 03:26, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- Hmmm... OK. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:27, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, there's Wikipedia:Infobox. Should I mention this here? It would be good to standardise infoboxes. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:34, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- Why can't you assist further here? What's stopping you, out of interest? - Ta bu shi da yu 03:41, 23 July 2005 (UTC)

tfd notices
Just thought I'd cross-post here briefly since the Thief's talk page is ever-so-slightly busy right now:
- You're right. It was me who went through the bottom of TfD orphaning and the like and moved them to the deletion cell from where MTG took them. There should really have been messages from the original TfD nomination stating the fact (practical considering the small no. of places most TsfD are in use); clearly there weren't in this case.
I should really have checked that fact before relegating them to deletion. I'll take a walk through the remaining non-deleted templates and see that I do that where it has not already been done. (Though I might do that after I've been to bed; it's 4.20am here and TfD moves more slowly than...a very slow thing.) I will also write better instructions in the TfD holding cell; for the better understanding of both users and admins. Cheers. -Splash 03:24, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
Admin Abuse, User Abuse, or Not?
Hello Netaholic. I have a question pertaining to the blocking of John-1107 by Snowspinner. John has requested me to look into the matter, and I questioned him if he had done anything wrong. Looking at John's user page shows a massively overdone mess. but what is Wikipedia's stance on things like this? Does an admin have the right to block or ban a user who abuses their own user page? -- Riffsyphon1024 03:50, July 23, 2005 (UTC)
