Michael Gerson (born 1965 in New Jersey) is an advisor to President George W. Bush. He served as Bush's chief speechwriter from 2000-2004.

Gerson was named by Time Magazine as one of "The 25 most influential evangelicals in America" in the magazine's February 7, 2005 issue. Prior to joining the Bush administration, he was a senior policy advisor with The Heritage Foundation, a conservative public policy research institution.

He is an alumnus of Wheaton College in Chicago, Illinois and resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
