Pornography is the fifth album by British alternative rock band The Cure, released in 1982 (see 1982 in music).
Some consider this the most stark, dark, and depressing album The Cure has ever released. Without a hint of happiness or resolution, this album appears to embody true hopelessness. For a case in point, the album opens with the lyric "It doesn't matter if we all die."
Pornography was reissued 25 April, 2005 as part of Universal's Deluxe Edition series. The new edition featured a remastered version of the album on CD One, while CD Two contained demo and live tracks.
