Kirk Muller was born on the 8th of February, 1966 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada). He is a Canadian professional hockey in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Kirk Muller was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, in the first round, Second Overall. He played for the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders, Montreal Canadiens, and New Jersey Devils and for the OHL's Guelph Platers and Kingston Canadiens. He has also played for the Canadian National Hockey Team. He was captain of the Montreal Canadiens from 1994 to 1995. He won a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. He retired on September 2, 2003. He will be returning to his hometown to coach the Queen's University varsity hockey team beginning 2005-06 season.
