These are the candidates for Translation of the week.

A former British soldier turned novelist whose pseudonym is Chris Ryan. 'Ryan' came to public prominence for being the only member of the failed eight-man SAS mission, Bravo Two Zero to escape, during the First Gulf War, 1991. He has subsequently written a number of books, including The One That Got Away and "One Good Turn" a specially commissioned story for the Quick Reads Initiative, aimed at improving adult literacy.

By the way, though in Chinese world there seems to me that few people use this medical sign, in Mainland China there's already an appropriate translation. A gamma-ray burst (GRB) detected on February 28, 1997 at 02:58 UTC. A gamma-ray burst is a highly luminous flash of gamma rays, the most energetic form of electromagnetic radiation. Since 1993, physicists had predicted these bursts to be followed by a longer-lived afterglow at longer wavelengths, such as radio waves, x-rays, and even visible light. Until this event, GRBs had only been observed at gamma wavelengths. This was the first burst for which an afterglow was observed.
