Education

FSU

Also, I went to The Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Florida, and graduated with a double major with honors in Biological and Chemical Sciences. (Go 'noles!) I am class of 2000.

UEI, An electronics college

Prior to that, I went to United Electronics Institute, now doing business as Florida Metropolitan University. To clarify, UEI was at 3924 Coconut Palm Drive, in the Sable Park region of Tampa, Florida. I am class of 1988.

High School

For high school, I went to Plant City Senior High School, Plant City, Florida. I am class of 1984.

Education in the real world's school of hard knocks

Oh, yeah: All that electronic college did me good: I'm a HAM EXTRA operator (There are three levels: Technician, then General, and then the highers, Extra: Zzzap!!) My call sign is N2GY. You can look me up on:

http://www.qrz.com or http://www.arrl.org or even http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls if you know how. Here:

http://www.qrz.com/callsign/N2GY and http://www.arrl.org/fcc/fcclook.php3?call=n2gy

are my pages in QRZ and ARRL.

"First, they [Nazis] came for the Jews. I was silent. I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists. I was silent. I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists. I was silent. I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me." (Martin Niemoller, given credit for a quotation in The Harper Religious and Inspirational Quotation Companion, ed. Margaret Pepper (New York: Harper &Row, 1989), 429 -as cited on page 44, note 17, of Religious Cleansing in the American Republic, by Keith A. Fornier, Copyright 1993, by Liberty, Life, and Family Publications.

(Actually, they may not have come for the Jews first, as it's far more likely they came for the prisoners, mentally handicapped, and other so-called "inferiors" first -as historians tell us -so they could get "practiced up;" But, they did come for them -due to the silence of their neighbors -and due, in part, to their own silence. So the general idea is correct: "Speak up now, or forever hold your peace." --Gordon)

Spacing in Wikipedia

Thanks for pointing that out... I don't think I would have noticed. But, you're absolutely right, wikipedia truncates double-spacing when they display the output. How rude! --JonGwynne 15:45, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

You're welcome, JonGwynne! I think there's a way to do spaces manually:   Let's see if it works.          Next sentence.--GordonWattsDotCom 16:46, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thank you all for the barnstars: I hope to live up to your expectations

I, Redwolf24, award you this barn star for helping those who need help and for going out of your way to make wikipedia and its citizens better.

  • You're welcome, Redwolf24. (For others who've had trouble making subdirectories, here's the diff for what you were asking.) If anyone else has the same problem, they can do like you did: Simply type in the web address with the desired extention, and get the "edit window," and then edit away. Take care,--GordonWattsDotCom 2 July 2005 03:20 (UTC)
I award you the purple heart barnstar for your contributions to the sometimes combative Terri Schiavo article. Your efforts helped make this article a success. — FuelWagon 21:37, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
  • Thanks Wagon, and thanks for your contributions.--GordonWattsDotCom 23:10, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

I hereby award you The Photographer's Barnstar for the trouble you recently went to in taking original photos of Terri Schiavo's grave and of the hospice where she died. Your contributions are appreciated. Ann Heneghan (talk) 11:04, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

  • You're welcome, Ann, and thank you for your acknowledgement and recognition.--GordonWattsDotCom 01:01, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
I hereby award you the Barnstar of diligence for putting all that effort into trying to make Terri Schiavo an FAC. Now get some sleep! :) Borisblue 03:27, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

  • You are certainly a good neighbor, Boris B! Thx! ~ I hope I am deserving of these barnstars, in consideration of how I certainly have detractors -and I hope they remember I have tried to work with them and listen --whether I agree or disagree. Well, I trust my guardian angels and Great Protector to keep me while I sleep -which is certain to be sooner than later, and may He keep and protect editor neighbors of mine who sometimes disagree too, because they mean well and offer me many new ideas. I hope I can offer positive in return to help make both my friends and critics happy and content.--GordonWattsDotCom 05:07, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
