Matthias Pintscher

Matthias Pintscher (b. January 29th, 1971, Marl) is a German composer and conductor.

Pintscher studied under Hans Werner Henze and Manfred Trojahn. Several of his orchestral and vocal works have been performed at such venues as the Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

Some of his more notable compositions include Choc (1996) and Janusgesicht (2001) and he is currently the composer in residence for the forthcoming Lucerne Festival.
