First, an important note for everyone to remember:
A few Wikipedians have gotten together to make some suggestions about how we might organize data in articles about particular Pokémon. These are only suggestions, things to give you focus and to get you going, and you shouldn't feel obligated in the least to follow them. But if you don't know what to write or where to begin, following the below guidelines may be helpful. Mainly, we just want you to write articles!

Structure
Please note: this WikiProject does not currently give guidelines for the Missingno article.
Minimum standards
For Pokémon, you should provide basic information about the species, such as the type of information generally included in the Pokédex. Also, a description of the species should be included.
The infobox should be included on all Pokémon articles. A sample infobox is at the right side of this page; it was based on the one in the Pidgey article. Note that for the shiny coloration, a description should be provided - which will probably not be a single word, in most instances. Additionally, you should include which of the Special stats is THE Special stat, for the first 151 Pokémon.
Additional standards
There are also other standards to follow, although they are not needed for a page to be considered completed to an acceptable level.
If you add a fairly large amount of detailed information, it would be a good idea to seperate it from the introductory text using a header.
A description of the Pokémon's anime persona should be provided, as well as anything it's famous for (or infamous, in the case of some Pokémon - i.e., Magikarp and Mewtwo).
Any notable features or abilities should also be included. For example, Ditto should mention that it's capable a breeding with (nearly) any Pokémon, and Deoxys should mention the fact that it's form and powers change depending upon the version it's in.
Providing likely name origins may prove interesting. However, it would probably be a good idea to note that these are merely speculations - for all we know, they could've been named using a random number generator, after all.
