Major Harris

Carriera
Nella sua carriera giovanile, Harris ha suonato con molti gruppi musicali, come i Charmers, i Teenagers, i Jarmels, e i Nat Turner's Rebellion. Negli anni '70 fonda insieme a Randy Cain i Delfonics; esce dal gruppo nel 1974. Cantando con la Atlantic Records, Harris compone molte hits, come il singolo "Love Won't Let Me Wait", il quale è arrivato al 5° posto nella classifica Billboard Hot 100. Con Bobby Eli and Vinnie Barrett, "Love Won't Let Me Wait" è stata premiata col disco d'oro dall'associazione americana dei produttori discografici il 25 giugno 1975.[1]
When his success as a soloist subsided, Harris returned to the Delfonics, and continued to tour with one of two touring ensembles that used the name in the 1990s and 2000s. Major was a cousin to the late Philadelphia record producer and arranger, Norman Harris.
