WLUC-TV 6 is the NBC station in Marquette, Michigan, USA. It signed on as WDMJ-TV in 1956 as the Upper Peninsula's first television station, and has used "Someplace Special" as its slogan for many years. There is a Yooper legend that says the call letters stand for "With Luck You(U) See(C) TV!"

What is odd about WLUC's multicolored logo is that they use the letters "NBC", instead of the Peacock logo -- this logo was first used when they were a primary ABC affiliate; when they switched to NBC primary sometime in the early-1990, they simply replaced the ABC logo with the letters "NBC". Unless one has a good eye, a stranger to the Marquette market may accidentally think WLUC's an ABC affiliate.

WLUC was an NBC affiliate since 1992 -- at first, it was secondary with ABC primary. Later, it would flip, with NBC primary and ABC secondary. It also held secondary relations with Fox during this period. By 1995, WLUC was solely an NBC affiliate.

WLUC is also seen on W14CE in Escanaba and W07DB in Marquette -- the latter is for areas of Marquette that get a poor reception from WLUC's main transmitter and studios at Negaunee.

Raycom currently owns WLUC, but, following its merger with Liberty Broadcasting, they announced that several stations would eventually be sold off, including WLUC.
