Established in 1987, Todos focused initially on product solutions, based on smart card technology, primarily for the telecom sector. Attention was turned to two-factor authentication in the early 1990s and since 2001, Todos has been delivering strong authentication to the global banking and finance sector as total solutions providers, supporting clients with everything from design to delivery and logistics.
Todos has a strong majority owner in the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund, and ABN AMRO, Nordea, ICA Banken, China Construction Bank are amongst the company's 100+ clients.
Technological History
- In 1991 Todos developed its first SmartCard reading device
- In 1995 Todos released its first secure telephone banking device
- In 2001 Todos launched its security solution eCode
- In 2006 Todos introduced a third factor - "something that the user understands" i.e. context - into two-factor authentication, increasing act-of-will and end-user awareness
- In 2008 Todos released “Todos Sign-What-You-See 2.0” bringing together PKI and Sign-What-You-See with an open document standard, based on XML (XML-Sign-What-You-See).
