Ball python

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Dpbsmith (talk | contribs) at 21:07, 8 May 2004 (It's not the "Latin name," but the scientific name; and it's already been given.). The Ball Python (Python regius), also known as the Royal Python, is a ground dwelling snake native to Africa. Its name derives from its tendency to curl into a tight "ball" when threatened.

It is sometimes domesticated.
