Chin State

Chin is a state of Myanmar. Its capital is Hakha.

There are 11 townships in the Chin State: Cikha, Hakha, Falam, Kanpalet, Matupi, Mindat, Paletwa, Rihkhuadar, Thantlang, Tiddim and Tonzang.

Demographics

The indigenious people, also known as the Chin are dominant in Chin State. Owing to American Baptist missionaries' work, 93% of the population are Christians, mainly Chin. However, a sizeable minority of the Chin adhere to their traditional tribal beliefs and Theravada Buddhism. Mostly Chin land people are farmers.
