TNA World Tag Team Championship
Il TNA World Tag Team Championship è il titolo principale della sezione tag team della TNA, federazione di wrestling statunitense.
Storia
NWA-TNA
Al momento della creazione della NWA-TNA, la federazione si affiliò alla National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), guadagnando quindi il diritto di ottenere incontri per i titoli NWA World Heavyweight Championship e NWA World Tag Team Championship per i propri atleti. L'uscita della federazione dalla NWA, avvenuta nel 2004 e sancita dalla perdita della sigla "NWA" dal nome, spinse i dirigenti a stipulare comunque un accordo per avere il controllo sui due titoli. Il contratto fece guadagnare alla TNA l'esclusiva per l'uso delle cinture fino al 2014.
Fine dell'accordo
La collaborazione terminò di comune accordo molto prima del previsto, il 13 maggio del 2007. La NWA privò ufficialmente del titolo l'allora NWA World Heavyweight Championship Christian Cage e fece lo stesso con l'NWA World Tag Team Championship detenuto dal Team 3D (Brother Ray e Brother Devon). Tuttavia la sera stessa, nel corso del pay-per-view della TNA Sacrifice 2007, il Team 3D difese con successo il titolo, confermandosi NWA World Tag Team Champions secondo la TNA. Il 14 maggio la TNA annunciò tramite un comunicato sul suo sito internet che avrebbe presentato il TNA World Heavyweight Championship ed il TNA World Tag Team Championship il giorno successivo.

Gli attuali detentori dei titoli sono Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, che hanno battuto James Storm & Robert Roode l'11 luglio 2010 a TNA Victory Road.
