Microdata (HTML)

Microdata is a proposed feature of HTML5 intended to provide a simple way[clarification needed] to embed semantic markup into HTML documents.

Microdata can be viewed[who?] as an extension of microformats, which attempts to address the deficiencies[citation needed] of microformats without the complexity of systems such as RDFa.

Support

Google can use microdata in its result pages.[1]
