Article(s): Rebecca Breeds, Luke Mitchell, Ray Meagher

Request: Could there be 2 crops made of the image of Rebecca and Luke, for usage in their actor info boxes. The original image can be used as a stand alone image still in other related articles. Can Ray Meagher's image also be cropped suitable for an info box as he is currently pocketed in the corner. Thankyou in advance.RaintheOne BAM 23:59, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again, Materialscientist. :) I've added a new image, in addition to the outstanding Rebecca and Luke request. The two men Steve Peacocke (in the white top) and Lincoln Younes are Australian actors. The two girls are unknown. Could they be cropped out from the main image. Can two seperate crops be created for use in other articles - "Steve Peacocke.jpg" and "Lincoln Younes.jpg", which would be useful for an infobox.

Graphist opinion(s): Rotated first and cropped second. Haven't got time/energy for separating Rebecca and Luke right now - nice-looking couple :). Materialscientist (talk) 05:44, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request: Could this image pleased be cropped so that only the painting (not the frame or surrounding wall, as photographs of them would be copyrightable) is visible, and upload it over the top of the current image? As it is, we have a public ___domain painting illustrated by a photograph which is technically non-free. Thanks. J Milburn (talk) 00:34, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alternatively, if you'd prefer to work from a cleaner base image, there is one here. Thanks again! J Milburn (talk) 00:44, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Graphist opinion(s):

  Done something. There are dozens of possible further tweaks to the image though. For example, the dark rim (frame shadows) can be cropped - but this will reduce the image area. Restoring them is also possible, but more time consuming. Materialscientist (talk) 01:31, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hate editing non-free images on Wikipedia. You spend time making an image look nice, then three months later you get a message on your talk page from some bot stating that it's no longer being used in an article (or some other such nonsense) and it's going to be promptly deleted. Utterly wasted time and effort... one of the supreme joys of Wikipedia. So to minimize such annoyances, I tend to stick with totally free Commons images. While the occasional instance of a commons file (along with my time & effort) ends up in the delete bin, the instances are much fewer and farther between. And while I don't have a lot of spare time, at least I know that the time I *do* volunteer won't be wasted by bots and overzealous Wikipedians. <end of rant>   Done JBarta (talk) 17:55, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
