Fare basis code

A fare basis code or FBC specifies the rules of an airline's fare. Fare codes starts with a letter followed by optional letters and digits[1].

Booking codes

  • R: supersonic, formerly Concorde only, used now some A380 suites & UA upgrades[2].
  • F: first class
  • A: discounted first class
  • J, C: business class
  • D, I, Z: discounted business class
  • W, T premium economy class
  • B, H, K, Y: economy class
  • L, M, N, Q, T, V, X: discounted economy class
