Working through today's expired PRODs I see that, although he has not removed the PROD tag, the article author has added a couple of refs that do actually mention the guy. So I have de-PRODded it, but I am not sure about notability, and you are welcome to consider AfD. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:16, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Mayors
Mayors of cities of population over 100,000 have always been found notable at AfD , and often for smaller ones also. for articles like Alexander G. McCandless, the thing to do is First look for sources, & if not found, only then nominate for deletion. See WP:BEFORE. DGG ( talk ) 02:55, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Reference and Inline Citation Corrections
Dear SwisterTwister, Thank you for getting back to me. As you suggested, I've changed many of the sources. I used references from the Council on Foreign Relations and other sources instead of Amazon. Please let me know if this on the right track-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Patrick_O._O%27Meara Thank you for your time! Contribution re: Perm9o-drive, recently reviewed by yourself
Hi David (Swister Twister)
Thank you for your feedback on the item I submitted, regarding Permo-drive. I note your comment that the item seems to need further material to place it in context.
This is my first contribution to Wikipedia, and the apparent lack of context is probably because I was trying to add to an existing and fairly comprehensive section on 'hybrid drive' technology. The contribution was not meant to be a stand alone piece. Can you advise if this explains the apparent randomness of my contribution. If so, can you assist me in getting it linked to the intended place in Wikipedia?
Regards

I really do not know where to turn to now about the IMAWESA listing.
I have worked with many Wikipedia Admins on getting the entry "Wikipedia" ready and it is still declined?
Please help and advise.

Dear SwisterTwister
I have changed ""IMAWESA’s primary focus is on agricultural water management (AWM) with the aim of improving livelihoods and poverty alleviation" to "IMAWESA’s primary focus is on agricultural water management (AWM)"
Can I resubmit with this change done?

Hello SwisterTwister,
I appreciate your feedback. You are correct. I have been waiting for a confirmation from the ministry but they are taking there time with this. Do you suggest I completely remove the month and day and simply live the date?

putting up a new picture on a profile
hi! I am new to wiki and I have a question. how do I go about changing a picture on a persons' profile? someone else put one up last year and we want to put a new one up for this year and take down this other persons' picture. is that allowed? please advice. thank you.Diddlysmom (talk) 21:52, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
restoring PROD tags
You recently restored a non-BLP PROD tag over at Jatt Di Cadbury. I understand your concern over the edit, but per WP:CONTESTED, "If anyone, including the article creator, removes a proposed deletion tag from an article, do not replace it, even if the tag was apparently removed in bad faith." If you wish to see the article deleted, the next appropriate step would be a WP:AFD. --Nat Gertler (talk) 00:46, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Osteodontokeratic Industry
Hi SwisterTwister, thanks for your message about my page rename query. I've recently edited the "Osteodontokeratic Industry" (ODK) page with a full history of the concept (its a old hypothesis in Palaeoanthropology), however, he term "Industry" is a misnomer as the ODK was dis-proven, so it doesn't actually exist. In archaeology, we only attribute titles like "Industry" to tool complexes that have stood the test of time, and so the ODK is a hypothesis, albiet falsified, so I want to rename the page to correct for this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hominin (talk • contribs) 07:21, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
In response to your response to my response
Ill try and reply here, hopefully you "watch" this or something
anyways, i was blocked from *this* IP (which sometimes changes so it might not be the exact same) after simply correcting one of the many mistakes in List_of_albums_awarded_Pitchfork_Best_New_Album
ill mention that i wasn't signed-in as a user when i edited, however the edit was so concise and obvious that it was insulting to get blocked for "disruptive editing" over it.
Re: User talk:Bidslist
Re your message: Forgot to actually set the block? Probably doing too many things at the same time and got all confused. It is corrected now. Thanks. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:07, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Schmekel refimprove tag
I came across your tag on Schmekel saying that the article needs more citations for verification. The article is only one sentence long, which contains a citation. Could you be more specific about what you think are unverified? (Obviously the article needs a lot of expansion.)

Hello,
My article was rejected on the grounds that it didnt have enough notability, and in the button of the comment it reads "seems minor league". I read the article on notability . Ok, There is not enough news papers that write about Ultimate Teams, there is a bunch about tournaments, tournaments that the team plays. Guess my question is, what can I do? to solve this? The team Fenix UNAM has play agains Seattle Sockeye (Who has a article on wikipedia) on international tournaments and other important teams, Maybe Fenix is not as good as Sockeye but It plays on the same tournament.. or have the chance to play on the same tournament. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laramos 24 (talk • contribs) 01:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

The post mortem on Thomas Parr showed pleuropneumonia.[1]
Dear Swister,
Sorry;I'm not sure how WikipediA works: it seems to be too clever for me.
All I was trying to do was point out that the post mortem done by William Harvey (1578-1657) on the body of Thomas Parr showed that the cause of death was pleuropneumonia and not a clean bill of health as recorded in Wikipedia. It's not really important, so just forget it if it is too difficult to correct. Yours, Stewart moore.

Tennisbuff12345 - Article re John Gledden
Hi SwisterTwister,
Before I throw my computer out of the window :0 ) = I thought I'd see if you could offer me some advice.
I have spent the entire day trying to understand the Wikipedia code and how to do Content Boxes, Info Boxes and add a photo etc etc.
I have also edited my article but I have no idea if I was successful in sending my article off for reviewing again ? - How can I find this out ?
I have edited it and press the SAVE button and normally get notification of when my page was resubmitted, but on this occasion I am not receiving any notification.
I once stumbled across a page of articles that were awaiting submission, but now I can't find that either and just having a nightmare..
HELP !!

ENLogic - Article "Anarchy"
The previous lead was a poorly written self-account of a particular anarchist's point of view. I replaced it with the actual definition of the words as defined by Oxford English Dictionary and Merriam-Webster Dictionary
I gave a very clear reason for the edit with sources. Wikipedia is not a place to "talk" and redefine words and concepts according to public vote and hearsay. Allowing such conduct undermines the credibility of Wikipedia's information as a whole.
My response to User talk:Ambarishmukundan
Hello. I'm puzzled as to why you think I might need help, or why you seem to think my response was incorrect. I'm glad you sent him the link for the start articles page, I didn't think of that. But I know from experience that sending someone a link may not be as helpful as giving them some place to go and ask for help, so that's what I did. Between the two responses, hopefully the user will get off to a good start. :) Have a good day. Tlqk56 (talk) 20:00, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

- You are aware of how to do a manual revert to any version of a page's history? Your message implies you night not be. I was reverting both edits at the same time; the reason my revert only affected the small content change he had made was because you had already undone the blanking from the lead.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 20:47, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk: Decline of Articles for creation/Internews Europe
Dear Swister Twister,
Thank you for your reply and comment on [Articles for creation/Internews Europe]. I have already had a look at Wikipedia:Writing better articles and I have tried to include as many reliable references as possible, see for instance TV5Monde(2011), European Commission (2009) or http://atelier.rfi.fr/profiles/blogs/des-medias-pour-le.
I also tried to change some of the language to make it sound more like a wikipedia article i.e. instead of 'strives' used now the word 'tries' in the first introductory paragraph.
I really don't know what to do more. Internews Europe is an organization with a long history of experience in international media development which particularly tries to support freedom of expression, investigative journalism and the voices of local communities excluded from the mainstream media, actually an agenda similar to wikipedia! I think their message, like yours, is we are allowed to know. I therefore thought it would be worth writing an entry about this organization in particular.
I will try to continuously improve the article, but it would be helpful if you provide me with some more tips!

Hello SwisterTwister. I just did quite a few hours of work on my article cleaning up citations and references and I hope you can look it over again. I was able to remove all links to the www.wison.com website and replaced them with secondary source journal articles on the company. These really helped! I hope these secondary sources will help me with my submission. Let me know if there is anything else I can work on. Any suggestions? RossPKelley (talk) 05:50, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
