For Jeri, anything again which can be done. Maybe add a grey background (like Dana) instead of the current. I was proposing that - you see all the images here? (the ones similiar to the above) could you merge any of them, to make a good image? Im not sure if you can, but I might as well ask. For minor uncontested improvements where the original is unlikely to be used in lieu of the improved version, overwriting is the sensible thing to do. A new file adds unnecessary clutter and makes more work for others who then have to update articles manually with the new image. The offending editor is the original uploader, and original uploaders are notorious for defending "their image" from edits, often requesting "consultation" first.
