SVG for 1963-74
Article(s): Coat of arms of Montenegro
Request: Could someone possibly vectorise these emblems please, many thanks. TRAJAN 117 (talk) 23:33, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Graphist opinion(s): I did one of them. Three remains. Jon C (talk)
- The emblem you've redrawn appears to be a bitmap trace, and not a proper vectorisation. TRAJAN 117 (talk) 03:13, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Trajan. In terms of the method, I did a combination of tracing and manual work on the image, to generate a (resolution-independent) SVG with supposed flat colors, a transparent background, and smaller file size. I consider this result an upgrade over the photographic PNG source, and of suitable use in Wikipedia.
- By "proper vectorization", do you wish for a different method (e.g., the full deal, i.e., re-drawing everything from scratch; re-designing and idealizing the braid patterns of the photograph), or a different result (in which case you can point out places that need fixing)?
- I'm open to fixing details, but I think it's pointless to re-work from ground up for marginal (and possibly inauthentic) improvements. Jon C (talk) 08:15, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Underground rocket diagram
Article(s): Underground rocket
Request: Need to redraw the schematic, so to have the image under WP-suitable license. If you are interested in taking this task, please contact me and I will provide the translation for the inscriptions on the picture, for better understanding of the task. On the final image, please mark them with numbers instead, so it can be easily translated in the image description rather than on the image itself. Wesha (talk) 22:50, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Inscriptions, top to bottom [color on the picture just to double check]:
- Oxygen tank [blue]
- Pressure regulator [white]
- Shutoff valve [white]
- Startup valve [white]
- Carbon dioxide tank [green]
- Gasoline tank [lighter green]
- Water tank [blue]
- Combustion chamber [light yellow]
- Ignition controller [yellow]
- Power supply [yellow]
- Spark plug [black]
- Drilling head with nozzles [gray]
If you have any questions, feel free to ask either here or on my Talk page. -- Wesha (talk) 15:12, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
For additional information and illustrations, you can refer to US 3917007 and US 3934659 which describe the earlier, solid-fuel (rather than liquid-fuel on the picture above) version of the rocket. -- Wesha (talk) 15:14, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
Graphist opinion(s): Request taken by Shandristhe azylean.
- I've only had a couple of hours on it yesterday and this is how it looks so far: http://i49.tinypic.com/o58cag.jpg; what do you think? Will continue more tomorrow probably. I can read the texts without difficulty as I'm Russian myself :) --Shandristhe azylean 22:17, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- Looks good in general! Can you make the components more symmetrically located (for aestetic reasons -- there are no technical reasons for them to be located asymmetrically) -- for example, CO2 and gasoline tanks are not on the centerline of the main rocket body). -- Wesha (talk) 01:03, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Yellow-red football/soccerball
Article(s): Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/English non-league task force, Eventually to be used on tagged talk pages
Request: Make a new version (not replace the old one) that has letters "NL" on it to be used as the logo for the English non-league football task force. Kind of the same way the Women's football task force has this. Thanks very much. Del♉sion23 (talk) 11:13, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

New Periodic Table
Request: Could you please vectorize this PT so I can translate it into English? Squee3 (talk) 20:38, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Agree with graphish Roshan220195 below: why this? -DePiep (talk) 21:42, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Graphist opinion(s): Why do you need the table?? It is definitely outdated... Roshan (talk) 03:46, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
explanatory sketch of F2 research piping station
For Fluorine, please draw a diagram that shows F2 research handling station. Not really sure what I want, but show the valves and cold trap and just the linear manifold and all.
See the para within Fluorine. Also this photo. And explanation. The enclosure with remote valve shuttof is quite interesting as is the placing it in a hood. Of course it is just one uni's method, but it seems state of the art (and I'll add a citation to their web page).
Maybe letters indicating materials (with legend). or just labels in drawing? Donno. Could probably strip out some of the scaffolding and other stray stuff for simplicity.
Also there is this classic diagram in Shriver Inorganic Chem page 427.

Request: Change the cell for Po (refer to the periodic table article if necessary) to #cccccc, as we have decided at WP:ELEM to consider polonium to be a poor metal and not a metalloid. Please overwrite the original file, as this is a correction and bringing the image in line with the infoboxes. Double sharp (talk) 09:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
