Template:Airport end frame Banja Luka International Airport is an airport located 23km (14.3 miles) from the city of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

History

Construction of the airport began in 1976 and the airport opened for civilian air traffic on November 18, 1997. The airport is served by B&H Airlines and has flights to Zurich International Airport, Cologne and Istanbul. There have recently been reports that Europe's largest low-cost airline Ryanair is to start services to Frankfurt in October 2006.
