Devo Ke Dev...Mahadev is a Hindu drama televised on Life OK Channel. It premiered on December 18, 2011 and airs every weekday at 8:00 p.m. (IST). The program showcases the story of Lord Shiva, Sati and Goddess Parvati, the first and second incarnation of his consort Goddess Shakti respectively. The show portrays Shiv's journey from being a celibate hermit to a householder. Sati who is drawn to Shiv against her father's wishes. An extensive story from Sati's point of view follows, showcasing how she falls in love with Shiv. Then Shakti's reincarnation as Goddess Parvati who is in love with Mahadev from childhood. Then the story showcases her marriage to Mahadev, birth of their children and so on. The serial was earlier titled Sati for Star Plus, but was then handed over to Life OK, A new channel The name change to Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev. The series currently holds the highest TRP ratings on television among all currently-airing programs. [1][2]

Plot
’Devon ke Dev… Mahadev’ is the story of Lord Shiva, the most powerful God within the Hindu culture, as a 'sansarik' or householder. The show portrays his journey from a hermit to a house holder. Sati who is the daughter of Daksh, a staunch Lord Vishnu devotee, is drawn towards Mahadev against the wishes of her father. Experience the mesmerizing journey of Sati, her love and marriage to Mahadev. Following by, Adi Shakti's second, main and complete incarnation as Goddess Parvati, the daughter of Mountain King Himavan, her love for Mahadev and marriage to Mahadev and so on.

Casting
In June 2012, after a long search and a lot of speculations, Sonarika Bhadoria was been finalised to play, the lead role of Parvati. [3] In the following month, the first casting change occurred in the serial, when the lead role of Parvati's mother Maina, till then played by Mugdha Shah was given to Shilpa Tulaskar.[4]
Music
Music for the first 140 episodes was composed by Sandeep Mukherjee, Kartik, and composer duo Inder Bawra and Sunny Bawra. Sandeep Mukherjee later took over complete responsibility as the composer. Famous pakhawaj player Pt. Bhavani Shankar recorded an original composition for the Tandav sequence shown after Sati's demise.
