Shinuiju Special Administrative Region (Sinŭiju T'ŭkpyŏl Haengjŏnggu; 신의주 특별 행정구; 新義州特別行政區) is a special administrative region of North Korea, on the border with China. It was established in 2002 near the city of Shinŭiju to try introducing the market economy.
