Pinkpop Festival or Pinkpop in short, is an annual rock festival held at Landgraaf, Netherlands. Along with Ruisrock and Glastonbury, it is the oldest open air festival in the world. It is held annually on the pentecost weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name). In 1970, the first festival took place in Geleen, now part of municipality Sittard-Geleen and was held only on Monday of that weekend.

Today, the 3 day festival is held from Saturday to Monday and is visited by approximately 60000 people with performances on 3 separate stages. In 35 years, 1.5 million people have attended Pinkpop. More than 400 musical acts have played at the festival.

Pinkpop 2005 took place from May 14 to 16. Presidents Of The USA, Faithless, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Feeder, Mercury Rev, Polyphonic Spree, Bloc Party and The Bravery were among the performers.
Pinkpop 2006
In 2006, Pinkpop will have it's 37th edition. The festival will be held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June.
