About October

Open Access Week is the last week of October. Ideally events are held in that week. However, mid-October also includes Ada Lovelace day to celebrate the first software developer and women in science. People celebrating either event are welcome to combine elements of the two. Ada Lovelace day is typically commemorated by encouraging diversity in the science community and especially by encouraging women to participate in science.
