Logo image scrolling backwards

Dear computer programming portal,

Why is your logo   scrolling backwards? I suppose it should resemble text or code scrolling on a screen, shouln't it? --88.217.165.166 (talk) 07:31, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Portal:Computer programmingPortal:Software developmentSoftware development seems to be the more generic term for this kind of activity. The term computer programming is usually more specifically targeted towards dealing with programming implementation aspects alone.

Within software engineering, programming (the implementation) is regarded as one phase in a software development process.

Other options include renaming to Portal:Software engineering. 50.53.15.59 (talk) 21:28, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

This strikes me as a change in scope, not a simple rename. It seems like we should require a consensus to expand the scope before taking the technical step of changing the title. Powers T 21:10, 17 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
