Diane Kruger (born Diane Heidkrüger also spelled as Diane Heidkrueger) (born July 15, 1976 near Hildesheim, Germany) is a German model and actress. She started her career as a dancer in London when she was still young, but after an injury she changed her mind and went to Paris to become a model at the age of 15. After a while Diane became interested in acting and soon landed small appearances. She then changed her last name from the original 'Heidkrüger' to 'Kruger' for use with English-speaking audiences to ease her move to a Hollywood career. From 2001 to 2006, Diane was married to French actor Guillaume Canet, who has now filed for divorce.
