PRIA, the International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, is a biennial scientific international conference organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences [2] and Springer Publishing [3]. The conference is officially sponsored by the International Association of Pattern Recognition[1] which is the international roof organization for the national pattern recognition societies. The conference areas are pattern recognition, image analysis and computer vision. It usually includes the meeting of IAPR Technical Committee 16 "Algebraic and Discrete Mathematical Techniques in Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis".
Like ICCV and CVPR, PRIA is considered one of the world's oldest conferences in pattern recognition. It was first held in Minsk, Byelorussia in 1991.[4]
