Addison Richards

Addison Whitake Richards (Zanesville, 20 ottobre 1887 – Los Angeles, 22 marzo 1964) è stato un attore statunitense.

Ha recitato in oltre 280 film dal 1933 al 1964 ed è apparso in oltre 110 produzioni televisive dal 1952 al 1964.^[1]

Biografia

Dopo aver frequentato la Washington State University e il Pomona College, cominciò a recitare a teatro e lavorò anche nella Pasadena Playhouse. Debuttò nel 1933 nel film Riot Squad nel ruolo di Diamonds Jarecke. Nei primi anni 50 cominciò ad apparire in maniera massiva anche in molti episodi delle principali serie televisive trasmesse durante il periodo d'oro della televisione statunitense. Interpretò, tra gli altri, il ruolo di J.B. Barker in 9 episodi della serie televisiva The People's Choice dal 1957 al 1958, di Doc Jay Calhoun in 7 episodi della serie Trackdown dal 1958 al 1959 e di Doc Landy in 8 episodi della serie The Deputy dal 1960 al 1961.

La sua ultima apparizione sul piccolo schermo avvenne nell'episodio The Permanent Recruit della serie televisiva No Time for Sergeants, andato in onda il 14 settembre 1964, che lo vede nel ruolo del colonnello Saunders.

Morì per un attacco di cuore a Los Angeles, in California, il 22 marzo 1964 e fu seppellito all'Oak Park Cemetery di Claremont.^[2]
