Why spend time. To find out how Wikipedia actually works.

The next thing to do

I'm trying out some simple text, drinking my virtual coffee (didn't make any - too late in the evening) and letting my fingertips randomly dance on the the keyboard - to simply make this text of nonsense. By the way - WHY are spending your valuable time to READ this?  ;-)

Now go back to the class web page for the next part of the tutorial.

And now for something completely different

This: is quite different. But what is this, and what is different about it?

Boldly Different, but not Completely

I'm not so sure this is completely different, just different and not so complete ConfessionIt could be a lot more different I confess Media:Example.oggOr we coud go media --207.40.147.115 05:41, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)what about scribbles?--207.40.147.115 05:41, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)

How did you like that?

Finally, we end with something that is not that different after all.

jebwalk

Hello, my name is Jeb. I can use one word to sum up my entire 40 years: jebwalk.

Jebwalk used to refer to walks. Now it also refers to thinking sessions, and developing websites about nearly everything imaginable.

[http://jebwalk.com/begin/intro.html jebwalk.com]

[http://jebwalk.com/index.php jebwalk forums]

Now this is my quandary:

I don't know where to start in the wikipedia. I need everyone's help to figure out where to start my contributions to wikipedia.

But once I do figure out where to start in the wikipedia, believe me, I have a LOT to write about!!!

But I am getting a pretty bad headache just trying to figure out where to start in the wikipedia.

Approximately two days later......

It's 618pm Oct 4 and I LOVE reading articles in Wikipedia about the Rocky Mountains and about the Arctic!!! I LOVE this place! I have my own Wiki already and it's only 2 days later!! I am already hopelessly addicted to Wikipedia, spending at least 3 hours a day reading it!! I scored an 86 on the Wikipediholic test already!! I am ALREADY a Wikipediholic!!!

Did I mention that I LOVE Wikipedia?

Hello testing testing 1 2 3 Confused Mama

I totally agree with jebwalk. I went to Wiki to learn about different types of flours because I am allergic to all white flour and want to stay away from gluten. I want to know if I can bake gluten free bread and what is samenola bread made of? Then I saw edit this page, went to tutorial and am still confused about what is all this about but it sounds like fun, maybe? Where do I start and what am I doing.

Okay Mama, this is jebwalk. I did some searching for you! :) Please look at this wikipedia page. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self_raising_flour Read about rye flour on this page (sourdough?)] Rye flour has the lowest gluten content of all flours. I hope that helps you, Mama. -Jeb

Fmstack's test

American Elf is the daily online diary comic of award-winning cartoonist James Kochalka. The American Elf strips are collected and published as “The Sketchbook Diaries”. Many critics consider these diary strips to be Kochalka's most substantial work.

For the most part each strip portrays one event that happened to Kochalka that day. These events are sometimes momentous and sometimes relatively trivial; for example, the entry from August 23, 2002 concerns eating a slice of cheese. Although the strips document real events, Kochalka's art style is somewhat surrealistic. For example, people aren't always represented as people; Kochalka and his wife Amy are elves, and Kochalka's friend Jason is represented as “Jason X-12”, a dog with a robot brain. This is a carryover from Kochalka's long-form works, many of which take place in a magical duplicate, found on the moon, of Kochalka's hometown of Burlington, Vermont, and which feature versions of people from his life.

Kochalka considers these strips to be an attempt to document the rhythms of his life, and as such refuses to either edit the strips or publish a “best of” collection – the value of the strips doesn't lie in any individual strip, but rather in the totality.
