R68A (New York City Subway car)

The 200 cars of the R68A order were built in Kobe, Japan by Kawasaki Rail Car Company from 1988-1989. R68As entered into service on April 1988 on the Template:NYCS D - 6 Avenue line. R68As are similar to R68s with some modification. R68As are currently assigned to the Template:NYCS Nand Template:NYCS Q and sometimes appear on the Template:NYCS B, Template:NYCS Dand Template:NYCS W. The R68A fleet is based out of the Coney Island Complex.
