Usage
- This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from transliterations and Category:Unprintworthy redirects by default. At some point in the future, Jimmy Wales wants to make more printed versions of Wikipedia encyclopedia articles. Redirects from less common transliterations are not suitable for a printed version. In other words they are unprintworthy.
- Add this rcat to a redirect page (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]] {{R from alternative transliteration}}
- This is in accord with instructions found at WP:REDCAT.
- Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and up to seven appropriate rcats, along with their parameters, to a redirect.
- Use this rcat on all mainspace redirects that are less common transliterations of the target or an associated spelling. If this rcat is used for a spelling that is associated with the target, and yet is not the target itself, then the first parameter may be used as follows:
{{R from alternative transliteration|(associated spelling)}}
- That will alter the wording to, "The prevalent spelling is (associated spelling)."
- This template tags redirects with a subcategory of the Redirects from modifications category, so template {{R from modification}} should not be used with this template.
