Robot sensors elaborate robot condition and its environment and passes that signal to robot controller to accomplish direct controll between robot and its parts.[1][2]

Types of robot sensors (Light and Sound sensors)

Part-Picking

In special parts feeder, and an alignment pallet are not necessarily required since alignment operation, an automatic system can be constructed at low cost. Vision Sensors for example perform inspection, pick bins, etc. With the help of different kind of sensor, Insertion Robots can precisely perform fitting and insertion operation of machine parts . A robot can insert parts that have the phases after matching their phases in addition to simply inserting them. It can perform jobs that are beyond from human approach.[3]

Robot Sensation

Robot Sensation allows robot to measure distance between object, presence of light, frequency of sound etc depending on the type of sensors embedded robot.[4]

  • Object Proximity: Presence/absence, distance, bearing, color.
  • Physical orientation.
  • Heat: Temperature, wavelength, magnitude, direction.
  • Chemicals: Presence, concentration, identity.
  • Light: Presence, color, intensity, content.
  • Sound: Presence, frequency, intensity.[5]
