Feature Funnies

Feature Funnies was a comic book title published by Harry "A" Chesler (20 issues) 1937 – 1939. The comic featured color reprints of popular newspaper comic strip characters such as boxer Joe Palooka , police officer Mickey Finn , show girl Dixie Dugan , the constantly bickering Bungle Family , girl reporter Jane Arden and others.

Printer Everett M. Arnold, saw the rapidly rising popularity of the comic book medium and decided to join the industry. He began by buying out the title, Feature Funnies, and added new titles which became the basis of the Quality Comics company. The new publisher changed the name to Feature Comics beginning with issue number 21.
