Electron is the main framework behind two notable open source software: Github Atom (text editor)[1] and Microsoft Visual Studio Code.[2] Github Electron is an open source framework developed by Github.[3] Electron allows the Development of desktop GUI application by using Node.js framework which is originally used for development of backend web applications.
