Pretty Persuasion is a 2005 black comedy / satirical film focusing on themes of sexual harassment and discrimination in schools, and attitudes about females in media and society. It was directed by Marcos Siega and written by Skander Halim, and stars Evan Rachel Wood, James Woods and Ron Livingston amongst others.

The film has been compared to 1989's Heathers, 1999's Election and 2004's Mean Girls. Moreover, it "tosses a nod" to David Mamet's play and film Oleanna about sexual harassment by teachers.

The film was nominated for the 2005 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Festival.

Plot

Template:Spoiler Kimberly Joyce (Evan Rachel Wood) accuses her drama teacher (Ron Livingston) of sexual harassment when she is kicked out of a school play, and gets everyone - including her friends Brittany (Elisabeth Harnois) and Randa (Adi Schnall), her family and the media - involved in her seductive and manipulative ways.
