A soundboard is a device created in Macromedia Flash that plays many short sound clips. They generally take sound clips said by celebrities and combine them into one flash creation. They are most often used in prank calls, when the caller uses the soundboard to imitate someone famous. The individual on the other end of the phone thinks they are actually talking to a real person. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the first celebrity to debut on a Flash Soundboard, soon the Arnold prank calls were spread thoughtout the internet. Arnold Schwarzennegger's 2nd prank call to Gateway is still one of the most hilarious soundboard calls. The concept of making soundboards with celebrity voices has expanded to the likes of Mr. T, Dave Chappelle, Joe Pesci, Homer Simpson, and many, many more.

Certain software is required to create soundboards. Adobe/Macromedia may be the best to use.
