Default behaviour of two Cisco switches is not as described. Cisco web site documentation:- [1] states that default setting is 'dynamic auto'. This means that two (default-config) Cisco devices will not form a VLAN-trunk. — 212.219.216.56 (talk) 13:40, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

[2] states: "The default mode is dependent on the platform; it should be either dynamic auto for platforms that are intended as wiring closets or dynamic desirable for platforms that are intended as backbone switches." So it depends... 192.68.151.251 (talk) 15:54, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
