Raspbian is a Debian-based computer operating system for Raspberry Pi, developed by a small team of developers. It is not affiliated with the Raspberry Pi Foundation,[3] but the foundation provides a Raspbian image which is listed as an officially supported operating system.[4] Raspbian is maintained by Mike Thompson and Peter Green et al.[5] which completed the initial build in June 2012.[3] The operating system is still under active development.
