Survivor Series 1998 è stato il dodicesimo evento annuale prodotto dalla World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Si svolse il 15 novembre 1998 al Kiel Center di St. Louis, Missouri.

Background

Il feud principale dell'evento si concentra sul vacante WWF Championship. Dopo che Stone Cold Steve Austin ha vinto il titolo a WrestleMania XV, inizia una faida con il chairman della WWF Vince McMahon. Successivamente a Raw Dude Love effettua un turn Heel alleandosi con McMahon e ottiene una title shot per il titolo WWF al ppv Unforgiven: In Your House dove a vincere è Steve Austin. La rivincita tra i due avviene a Over the Edge: In Your House ed è Austin a uscire vincitore di nuovo. Nel frattempo Kane diventà il nuovo contendente al WWF Championship di Stone Cold Steve Austin, i due si affrontano a King of the Ring 1998 in un First Blood match che vede il Big Red Monster vincitore dopo un intervento da parte del fratellastro The Undertaker che colpi per sbaglio Austin facendolo sanguinare. La notte successiva a Raw, Austin riconquista il titolo battendo Kane. A SummerSlam Steve Austin riesce a sconfiggere The Undertaker detenendo la cintura. Il mese successivo a Breakdown Austin perde il WWF Championship in un Triple Threat match che comprendeva anche Undertaker e Kane, dato che Kane e Undertaker fecero insieme lo schienamento a Austin il titolo viene dichiarato vacante.
