Raspbian is a Debian-based computer operating system for Raspberry Pi. It is now official provided by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, as primary operating system for the family of Raspberry PI SoCs.[3] Raspbian was created by Mike Thompson and Peter Green as independent project.[4] The initial build ware completed in June 2012.[5] Since then the creators maintain separated branch of OS. The operating system is still under active development. Raspbian due to narrow hardware target is highly optimized to use of ARM CPU architecture low-performance specs.
