Reise Reise, Rammstein's fourth explosive studio album was released on 27 September2004 in Germany, and shortly after in the rest of Europe. A North American release is pending. It has been in the Top 10 in several European charts and a number 1 hit in Germany.

As used in Reise, Reise aufstehen! Kommt hoch nach alter Seemannsart, the album name is an old sailor's expression to wake up or arise other sailors. Hence the translation of the title would be Arise, Arise. (We can also see how this expression is used in the self-titled song).

Album Art

Unusually, the cover is a triptych with a partially broken orange blackbox depicted on the outer front and back covers. Its caption ("Flugrekorder//nicht öffnen") means "Flight recorder//do not open". Opening the first 'page' shows the caption once again in bigger size. The inner part of the triptych shows a picture of the 6 members in suits wielding suitcases and weapons leaving from a crashed airplane. The CD print is silver and has a matte/reflective relief surface that depicts a radar.

All the cover is an allusion to the song Dalai Lama.
