Compact Modular Architecture

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Aero777 (talk | contribs) at 13:01, 25 June 2017 (The Lynk & Co 02 (with 'winged doors') seems to be a concept model as of 2017. Some media sources have mistakenly reported L&C sedan spyshots as '02' instead of (the correct) '03'.). <Article name should probably changed to just "Compact Modular Architecture". Both Volvo, Geely and possible Geely sub-brands will use that designation. Also Volvo is only playing a partial role in the development, so it's more CMA than it is Volvo CMA>

The Compact Modular Architecture-platform[16] is an upcoming global mid-size unibody automobile platform, jointly developed by Volvo and Geely under their CEVT AB[17][18] (China Euro Vehicle Technology) R&D banner.[19] Development began in 2013[20] with the goal of producing a highly flexible vehicle platform.[21][22] Only the distance between the centre of the front wheels and the pedal box is fixed, everything else can be configured to suit the intended vehicle design.[14][3]

Volvo plans to release its first fully electric car based on the CMA platform in 2019.[23]
