Reviews for the album, such as the following, were mostly positive:

"WHITE DAWG can rap. And for everyone who don't know about it, he's been underground before whatever his name came out. This is str8 up dirty SOUTH hardcore crunk rap, not my annoying voice TRL hip hop for every rich white kid that thinks he can relate. The first time I heard this album, I didn't even realize he was white. If you get scared to drive through the ghetto at night, and watch TRL, it's not for you. If you like dirty south crunk... there is nothing else like it. The beats and rhymes, all from an independent label!!" [1]
